Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer
The Senior Mechanical Engineer leads Oxford Sigma’s Design and Build team, providing both technical and people leadership while developing the company’s engineering capability in line with strategic objectives. The role is responsible for translating customer needs and technical requirements into practical engineering solutions, overseeing the design, development, manufacture, commissioning and operation of complex mechanical systems, prototypes and experimental rigs. Working closely with engineering, commercial and project delivery teams, the Senior Mechanical Engineer supports business growth, develops new opportunities, ensures high-quality technical delivery, and leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions across nuclear and non-nuclear applications.
